It has never been easier and more important for faculty to try out new technologies, or to acquire and share new ideas and experiences in teaching and learning today. As awareness and concern about the Web technology continues to grow, University communities, in particular the faculty and instructional design/support staff are committing to becoming more technologically responsible.
What are the challenges of adding emerging technologies or tools to the classroom and what can we do to improve integration of traditional classroom with online experience and other uses of Web-based technology? What are the software and hardware issues? Does the traditional classroom provide sufficient learning experience? Does the use of Web-based technology improve or hinder the learning process?
Obtain the answers to these questions and more as we explore the topic. Find out why you should utilize Web-based technology, the differences between online, offline, and hybrid, and whether you should integrate them with your existing teaching style.

Educational Uses Presentation
Norita Ahmad and Julie Meyer shared how they encouraged students in an information science course to use technology in a business development plan. I thought the way Norita introduced the project using "The Apprentice" was quite clever and fun. If I was a student in her class, I'd be very motivated to the assignment.
Norita and Julie's presentation prompted discussion among the audience members, such as when should students' work be able to be viewed publicly.
In addition to the above, Julie went over myspace, youtube, etc. and showed how she set up a myspace page for her ID office.
Very good presentation that helped faculty members see how these technologies can be used in creative ways in the classroom.
