What is the TLT Symposium?
The Penn State Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology is both an annual one-day event and a year-round online discussion of ways that technology can be used to enhance teaching, learning, and research. The intention is give faculty the opportunity to share how they are using technology in unique ways, network with other colleagues, and generate new project ideas.
Who presents at the Symposium?
The Symposium is intended to be a for-faculty, by-faculty event. We would like each presentation to be lead by at least one faculty member, but staff and students can be part of the presentation in a supporting role.
About the 2007 Penn State Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology
The Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology was held at the Penn Stater Conference Center for the first time. This year's theme, "Social Computing and the Culture of Teaching and Learning", put a spotlight on the impact of new tools such as blogs, wikis, podcasting, and tagging on the ways we communicate and learn. The symposium acts as a showcase for many of these technologies, giving faculty the opportunity to experience them first hand.
