Request for Proposals

The Request for Proposals for the 2024 TLT Symposium is now closed.

Symposium Tracks

The 2024 Symposium invites proposals covering a broad range of topics demonstrating the valuable and innovative use of technology to support teaching and learning. This year, proposals are enthusiastically welcomed from everyone with an interest in sharing content from five topical tracks. Within the tracks, there will be a designation for World Campus presentations.

  1. Student Learning & Success
  2. Instructional Approaches & Pedagogy
  3. Immersive Experiences
  4. Artificial Intelligence
  5. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging

Proposal Evaluation

The following criteria are used to determine which proposals are accepted:

Pedagogy

  • What will attendees learn about enhancing teaching and/or student learning?

Technology

  • What will attendees learn about the innovative use of existing technology or, what will they learn about cutting-edge technology used in a pedagogically compelling way?

Audience Engagement

  • What will the presenter(s) do to keep the audience involved with the presentation’s topic and content?

Overall Proposal Quality

  • How well-defined are the session objectives, and how likely is the proposed presentation to achieve them?

The TLT Symposium RFP committee has created a Proposal Planning Template and Proposal Rubric to help guide you through the request process.

Introducing the Spark Challenge—a fresh, rebranded version of the former Open Innovation Challenge! This year, we’re not only celebrating innovative ideas but we’re selecting the university’s top visionaries to share their ideas. We aim to empower these trailblazers to further develop and realize their transformative concepts. Five finalists will take the spotlight, presenting their groundbreaking proposals in under five minutes to a captivated audience and panel of experts at the TLT Symposium. Their votes will determine the winner.

There will be a CASH prize for this year’s competition!
