Huda Essa is a TEDx Speaker and Author of the culturally authentic and responsive children’s books, Teach Us Your Name and Common Threads: Adam’s Day at the Market.  

Huda has positively influenced communities around the nation through her thought-provoking learning opportunities.  She utilizes her extensive experience as a Cultural Proficiency Consultant, former Teacher and Multilingual Education Specialist, to support organizations in successfully meeting their goals.  Through consulting, keynotes, and interactive learning opportunities for PreK-12 through Higher Education professionals Huda facilitates collaborations that help them develop practices promoting engagement, productivity, and overall achievement.  

Huda is also a lead Series Consultant for Teacher Created Materials’ Untold Stories Program focused on reducing the constraints of implicit biases through equitable, inclusive representation.  Furthermore, Huda’s award-winning work extends to supporting students directly, as well as professionals in businesses, corporations, and non-profit organizations.  Her dedicated leadership is driven by the fact that cultural proficiency is a worthy, lifelong education benefitting people of all ages, social identities, and careers.
